One Prayer Away
When the
road has been too long
And burdens
are avowed
Command
yourself to being strong
For just
the here and now
But if you
find, you cannot keep
The vast
struggles at bay
Remember
as you stop to weep
I am one
prayer away.
Embrace
the trouble that you bear
And heed
its weighed call
Although
you feel pain and despair
You need
not take a fall
Place faith
in what the future holds
Whene’er
the skies are gray
And know
as each moment unfolds
I am one
prayer away.
When the
daylight is growing dim
And darkness
comes to state
In all its
vigor and its vim
That sorrow
is your fate
Remember,
if you shed a tear
That in
your heart I’ll stay
For even
when I am not near –
I am one
prayer away.
